It has taken me a little bit to get back to writing, but hopefully I can be a little more consistent. I‘ve been keeping myself busy and have been working on little projects here and there to entertain myself. Being quarantined with my boyfriend as well has been a plus. Difficult at times, but definitely a plus.
To catch you all up a little bit, I turned 31 on April 5th and I honestly can't believe it. I do love birthdays and even though it was a different birthday being cooped up inside, due to all the technology we have I was able to receive so much love from family and friends that I was so grateful for. It made me that much more introspective on how precious the people in my life are to me. Especially at this time when we cant necessarily be with the ones that we love. Not being able to be home with my family right now is super hard which is what has inspired my "FEELING IT FRIDAY."
My family has always been and will continue to be the strongest support system in my life. Coming from a family of 7 we definitely have had our differences, but as I have grown older it has become apparent to me that my siblings and my parents (even as crazy as we may drive each other) we NEED each other to make it through this life.
I don't want to make this long, so I just want to say make it a point today at some point to reach out to members of your family or your friend circle because you never know what day may be yours or their last. In this pandemic especially please hold those ones close to you even closer. I know that I have failed to do this and so I am pledging myself to be better.
On Wednesday I woke up to an email about a coworker of mine at EQUINOX passed away from COVID19. My heart sank as this hit a little too close to home. Also seeing all the news about the Broadway, Television and Film actors and actresses battles with the virus has put in my mind even more that this is very serious. We may even have it ourselves and don't know it. So let us all be safe and do our part to not spread this virus and let our dear loved ones know that we love them.
I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy and let us stay positive and keep our heads held high in these times of anxiety and fear. Find a way to bring joy to others and to yourself and let us get the world back on its feet!
XOXO
